bu arada, sözlerinin ilk dizesi olan "sweet smell of a great sorrow lies over the land." john steinbeck'in the grapes of wrath* romanından esinlenilerek yazılmıştır. romanın, bu sözlere ilham veren kısmı şöyledir:
"the decay spreads over the state*, and the sweet smell is a great sorrow on the land."
ayrıca bu şarkıda bas gitarda tony levin'i duymak mümkündür.
