cyrano de bergerac'ın modern bir uyarlaması. günümüzde geçen hikâyede hâliyle ne gaskon beyleri kalmış ne de savaş. onun yerine itfayeciler arz-ı endam ediyor. cyrano olmuş charlie. silahşorluk gitmiş, gelmiş itfaiye şefliği. ama baş harflerden yine tutturmaya çalışmışlar. cyrano de bergerac, charlie d. bales... roxanne'ı darryl hannah oynamakta. cyrano'nun draması yerini hafif bir komediye bırakmış. eğlenceli ama orijinal hikayenin yanında esamesi okunmaz.
moulin rouge'da ewan mcgregor tarafından söylenmemiş olsa da bunu söyleyen adam o çatal sesiyle öyle bir söylemiştir ki... "yürü roxanne seni bu hayattan kurtaracam" diye haykırtmıştır beni...

"fifteen-love" gibi tenis terimlerinin cnbc-e tarafından inanılmaz bir biçimde türkçeye "onbeş aşkım" şeklinde çevrildiği komik film, ayrıca roxanne rolündeki kız da baya güzeldi
geçenlerde tvde tesadüfen gördüğüm bir sting konserinde tekrardan canlı dinlediğim ama eskisi gibi söyleyemiyor ya artık şeklinde yorumladığım ismini tarihe çoktan yazdırmış unutulmayacak parçalardan.
kelimenin kökü, taa milattan öncelerine dek gider. roxxane, güneşin kızı anlamına gelir ve ilk hali (orta doğu ve hindistan arasındaki halkın dilinde) "ruşhanak" tır. ruş, dediğimiz şey de, newroz kelimesindeki, "roz" ile aynı. (yada farsçadaki "ruz" ile). evet. bu kadar şeyi bir sonuca bağlamadan niye anlattım ben de bilmiyorum.
