- istiklal caddesi'yle özdeşleşen şeyler vardır; cumhuriyat anıtı, tramvay, bambi, kızılkayalar, garip düdüğüyle godfather'ı çalan adam,"almazsanız çıkmaaaaz" diyen milli piyangocu kız, sokak müzisyenleri ve daha bir sürü güzel ayrıntı...
"dance with me" albümünün giriş parçası olan "waltz of the butterfly" da bunlardan biri. belki de en önemlilerinden.
hani bazen bir koku duyarsınız fena halde sevilen birini hatırlatan, waltz of the butterfly da istiklal'in kokusu gibidir.
nerde olursanız olun duyduğunuzda istiklal'i hatırlarsınız. tüm anılar geri gelir.

- tüm perdeleri kapatıp, bir kaç şişe bira içip hayali bir yabancı ile dans etme isteği uyandıran şarkı. yalnız insanın kendi kendine neşelenmeye debelenmesini göstermektedir. yani çok neşeli değildir bu şarkı. ve büyük fakat boş iddialar: the way i want to love you could be against the law. herkes tüm kurallara nah çekip manyakça aşık olabileceğine inanır, ama korkularla aşık olur. yalnız insanın hayal dünyasının tam da ortasından seslenir bize nouvelle vague. orijinalini dinlemedim fekat.
- topuklu ayakkabıları elinde, üzerinde uçuşan kısa bir elbise olan çakır keyif bir bayanın gece kumsalda kendi halinde dans ettiğini anımsatan bir nouvelle vague parçası. arada bir yıldızlara bakar, mutlu olur. çünkü varlar.böyle güzel bir şarkı diyeceğim; ama öyle böyle değil ya!
- çok güzel, içinizi kıpır kıpır eden bir alphaville şarkısı.
