- elton baba 1962de marilyn monroe öldüğünde onun için yazmıştı bu şarkıyı, o hali pek hoş değil.
"97 de diana öldüğünde biraz modifiyeli halini yayınladı. ayrıca tüm zamanların en çok satan single ı oldu şarkı.
elton john bu şarkının diana yla ilgili belgesellerde ve toplama albümlerde kullanılmasına izin vermedi. hatta o ara "prensesin ölümünden para kazanıyor" diye tepki gördü. ama yılardır iyi dost oldukları için sonra konu unutuldu.
ayrıca şarkı dinlerken insana süper geliyor ama piyanoda çalarken bitmek bilmiyor, sürekli aynı iki akor.
