modern pop müziğin(blues ve cazdan doğan) şarkı iskeletini oluşturan üç bölümden biri. adından da anlaşılacağı gibi farklı iki bölümü(akor dizisini, dinamikleri, ritmleri, ...) birbirine bağlayan geçiş bölümüdür. her şarkıda olmayabilir. fakat iyi kotarıldığında şarkının karakterine çok şey katan bir bölümdür.
gitar, bas gitar, gibi telli çalgıların alt eşiğine verilen isim. alet üzerinde konuşlandırıldığı yer çok önemlidir. çok ufak ileri veya geri takılması entonasyonu duman eder. fakat gelişmiş mekanizmalar olan elektrik gitar ve bas gitar köprüleri üzerinde saddle denilen dalgalar vardır ve bunlar da tellerin köprü sabitlendikten sonra da yaklaşık 1.5 cm ileri ve geri gidebilmesini sağlar.
