- 2001 yılında music for nations etiketiyle çıkan, progresif rock grubu porcupine tree'nin frontmani steve wilson'ın produce ettiği ve opeth'i bütün avrupa hard rock/metal piyasasına duyuran albüm. "riffler şöyle, brutal vokal böyle, akustik gitar partisyonları öyle" vb. diyaloglara girmeye hiç gerek görmüyorum. tam bir progresif/melodik/death metal şaheseri. mükemmele çok yakın. dinlemeyen kılabır olsun.

- opeth'in kötü şarkı bulundurmayan albümü. her şeyiyle süper. akustiğiyle, her türlü*** vokaliyle, sözleriyle, müziğiyle tek kelimeyle mükemmel.
- zannımca opeth'in en iyi şarkısını da barındıran* en başarılı albümü. bundan sonra genel tarzını tam yansıtmıyor da olsa damnation'ı sayabiliriz.
