insana bu şarkıyı söyleyen olsa, ya da insanın bu şarkıyı söyleyebileceği birisi olsa hayatında, budur.

- gözlerimi kapatarak, bonjovi'nin yüksek perdelerdeki hakimiyetine hayran kalarak dinlediğim, insanı gerçekten hüzünlendirebilen, bonjovi'nin bana göre en iyi şarkısıdır.
- aynı temada hem saliva hem bon jovi yazınca (bon jovi daha önce yazmış tabi yanlış anlaşılmasın eheh), ben diyorum ki "abi bende bi bokluk var kesin". olmuyo bu iş, ben niye ağlıyorum bon jovi dinlerken, saliva dan josey scott "i love you i hate you i cant live without you" diye bağırırken ben niye kuduruyorum?
bu "adaş" iki şarkıyı birisi bana söylese, veya benim söyleyecek bir sevgilim olsa, ayrılırsam bütün sözlük gelip beni dövmekte serbesttir. kimse de mesuliyet aranmayacaktır. eşşek sudan gelene kadar dövün abicim.

- the gathering'in 1992 çıkışlı ilk albümü. anneke'li albümlere nazaran daha sert, doom-death metal türünde bir albümdür. bart smits'in brutal vokalleri en koyu brutal karşıtlarını bile cezbedecek kadar güzeldir. şarkılara gelince, en çok öne çıkanları daha sonra anneke tarafından da katledilmiş the mirror waters, stonegarden ve second sunrise'tır. özellikle açılış şarkısı the mirror waters melodisiyle, brutal vokalleriyle, sözleriyle doom metalin karakterini çok güzel yansıtır.
